   Is it possible that instead of Kidney Stones, your surgeon may find Gem Stones?
   
   I had read a news item that Kidney Stones were removed from the Kidney of a patient and one of the stones was shining like a Gem Stone and on verification it was found to be a real Gem of good carats and valued at few 1000 $s. Is it really possible?

   It seems very unlikely. Kidney stones grow in place. The kidney is a microscopic filter system, and the only access is through very small capillaries (blood vessels). How could a real gemstone get in there without killing the person?
   
   Sound like an urban legend to me.
   
   Or maybe, after the surgery, someone hid a gemstone among the kidney stones.

   Oh I have heard of weirder things!! Have you heard of a girl who has crystals falling off her eyes and yet do not damage her eyes? Take a look.

   Sometimes makes me feel that we humans are much more than we can appreciate. But sadly we pursue interest coming from vested needs and end up in wars, hatred, etc... How much more fun life would be if we all work towards understanding ourselves better!!

      I agree on self-understanding, Savio. But back in the 1970s, Uri Geller said he could bend spoons. Now, he admits it was all routine magic tricks, as this video could easily be. I do believe some amazing things occur, but not these particular ones.

      But for argument sake let's go by some credible sources.... Guinness Book of Records holds many individual records which we do not even think possible leave alone legitimate..... So, there are evidences too... That is what I mean..

   While this would be most wonderful, particularly after the terrible pain of a kidney stone, I do not believe it is possible that the human body would produce a gem stone.  The human body simply does not possess the chemical composition nor precise minerals and conditions under which gemstones form - to create them. 
   
   There is a semi-precious stone termed the "kidney stone" due to its shape.  It is light green in color when polished and is fabled to help ward off the development of kidney stones.  Perhaps the story you read was inspired by this fact.
   
   Lastly, seeing as I am admittedly not an expert in all things that exist in our world, you never know what wonderful miracles we each hold.  I had six kidney stones removed last June.  How fabulous would it have been if even one had been found to be valuable? I like to keep my mind open - you just never know what sort of amazing things we might come across during our lifetime.

      I'm sorry that you went through the pain of kidney stones and got no gems out of it. But I'm betting you're a gem, yourself!
